The Advisory Council for Implementation of the Roma Integration Policy was established in 2012 with the aim of promoting the integration policy of Latvian Roma, evaluating its implementation, as well as intensifying civicparticipation among the Roma community.

Council members are representatives from public institutions, local governments, educationinstitutions, NGOs working to protect Roma interests, and Roma NGOs and communities; the Council is composed of experts on Roma integration.

In order to facilitate the regular exchange of information and experience among local experts on Roma integration and the development of cooperation among the Ministry of Culture, local authorities and Roma communities for more effective integration of the Roma policy, in 2014 the Network of regional experts on Roma integration issues was created.
