The Advisory Committee of Representatives from Minority Non-Governmental Organisations is a consultative body aimed at promoting the participation of non-governmental organizations in the formation of civil society and the development of ethnic policy, minority rights and culture. It was established in 2006 and in 2014 its composition was restored, including representatives from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and candidates from minority non-governmental organizations.

The Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Advisory Committee of Representatives from Minority Non-Governmental Organisations plans and implements measures to support minorities – both for cultural preservation and for capacity building of non-governmental organizations throughout Latvia. As of 2014, the responsibilities of chairman of the Advisory Committee of Representatives from Minority Non-Governmental Organisations are carried out by the Minister of Culture.
